PACE has recently shared some interesting writings on the Investment Management aspect of the PACE Framework. A core contention of the framework is that how financial accounting reports "investment" is not optimal for internal, long-term decision making. This contention is probably an area where our interest group can add a good bit of value to PACE. There is a sizable gap in understanding of the mechanisms where current practice is deficient and leads to sub-optimal decisions and prescriptions on how to better report investment for internal decision making and long-term value creation. So, the question to the IG, what are some research questions in this area that you might be interested in exploring?
