The debut of the RM/BSC case! Yesterday we discussed the Mountain Base Golf Club case in my three graduate classes (approximately 95 Masters of Accountancy students). Last week I introduced the four revenue management (RM) levers using "The Four Levers of Revenue Management” in Strategic Finance(1 Nov 2021). Then these students worked to prepare and submit strategy maps, BSC dashboards, and their recommended revenue management levers for MBGC. We had a great discussion. This is very new content in higher ed accounting education. The students were curious and energized!

The way the RM/BSC case was introduced to your graduate classes sounds genuinely engaging, especially with students diving into strategy maps and revenue-management levers so enthusiastically. As they worked through their dashboards, I was reminded of times when balancing coursework felt overwhelming, and I wondered if others ever thought about options like pay to do my class during intense weeks. Still, seeing students energized by new accounting content shows how effective hands-on learning can be.
